You will own projects from concept to execution, and you will collaboratively influence other teams and team members to have a broad impact on the student experience. Your work will focus on mobile first, but you should be passionate about expanding features to create true multi-device experiences that move with the user from one device to another.

You will be working collaboratively with a close-knit team of visual designers, web designers, writers, front end developers, and other disciplines in the organization to bring our products to life and deliver a favorable experience across all devices and touch-points. Our team is excited to welcome a creative and driven designer as we build experiences for individuals around the world looking to earn an online degree in higher education.

Responsibilities:
Use business requirements, user research and user feedback to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements.

Design conceptual sketches, wireframe information architecture, high-fidelity mockups, and interaction specifications.

Develop and nurture relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency.

Develop and maintain detailed design patterns that scale for your team and influence other designers.

Lead brainstorming sessions and give presentations to drive design, demonstrating features and flows.

Understand and respond to data (metric tests, usability studies), using that to inform future design.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or combination of equivalent professional experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role with at least 2 years working on mobile design projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions and patterns on mobile devices.

Proficiency in design tools such as UXPin, Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar
Strong skills in visual design.

Experience working in a collaborative team, white-boarding and working directly with developers for implementation of designs.

Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Proven track record for partnering closely with other teams to influence positive outcomes and propose well-informed new directions.

Demonstrated business acumen, including experience measuring and calibrating the impact of your work against key business and customer experience goals.

Self-motivated team player, with refined and assertive leadership skills.
Experience teaching and mentoring others.
