Staff Infrastructure Architect - Wireless
Atlanta, GA or Cincinnati, OH
Contract to hire

What you will be doing:

  • Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction
  • Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
  • Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level
  • Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model
  • Support design and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities, for different businesses
  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities
  • Coach and mentor team members

 
Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) OR equivalent years of IT experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in focusing on converting requirements into the architecture & design the implementation of complex enterprise switching solutions
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be abreast of industry trends with the ability to incorporate latest technology and best practices into product development
  • Expert in Aruba/Meraki LAN switches and cloud management
  • Strong understanding of network layers 1 to 3 that apply to core routing & switching
  • Understanding of the interactions and network functions of firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points, along with added focus on IPv and network security
  • Ability to configure, validate, and troubleshoot complex enterprise network infrastructure, STP, routing and switching protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF), Wan, layer 3 routing, tunneling and security
  • Understanding of network automation, Ansible, software defined network (SDN) and network virtualization functions (NFV) is preferred Business Acumen
  • Understand key cross-functional concepts that impact the organization; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics Leadership
  • Familiar with concepts of costing hardware and software components. Works to assure work is on-time and within budget
  • Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. Can identify and raise issues, risks and benefits
  • Participates in change initiatives by implementing new directions and providing appropriate information and feedback
