Sr. Systems Analyst
Contract to Hire
Dallas, TX
 
What You Will Be Doing:

  • Demonstrates depth and breadth of business systems analysis process, techniques and methodologies.
  • Contributes to application design by eliciting requirements and documenting solutions that will maximize the value delivered by the system to stakeholders
  • Determines how the various assigned job responsibilities impact other projects, teams and / or business areas
  • Ensures requirements meet the strategic goals / initiatives of the organization 
  • Develops detailed knowledge / expertise in assigned applications
  • Leads and facilitates interviews and functional workshops, with the Product Owner, Functional BA and other business stakeholders, to clearly elicit requirements
  • Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts and decompose information into requirements
  • Converts business requirements into functional and software / technical requirements captured in user story details
  • Captures non-functional and other system requirements (e.g., supported browsers, security, system performance expectations, etc.)
  • Produces supporting user story deliverables as needed (e.g., detailed user stories, wireframes, design comps, etc.)
  • Analyzes system integration impacts and defines integration requirements
  • Reviews detailed user stories with the product / development team leads to ensure adherence to scope and level of effort estimations
  • Estimates effort to gather user story details, develop business analysis work plans, and ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Coordinates with Quality Assurance (QA) and the development team to ensure requirements are understood
  • Supports User Acceptance Testing
  • Good written and verbal communication required
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.  Computer Science or business related degrees preferred
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years working as a business analyst on application development projects
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Experience with more than one (1) business domain / website
  • Experience working with Oracle ATG Web Commerce Solution preferred
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps Services or JIRA preferred
  • Experience supporting both enhancement / support projects as well as new development projects
  • One (1) to three (3) years of functional expertise / experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have strong PC skills and advanced working knowledge with Microsoft Office products, SharePoint and experience with requirements tracking software

Work Schedule:

  • Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Extended business hours and weekends will be required
