Job Description

The Sr. Project Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for developing, supporting and ensuring compliance to processes to enable consistent and repeatable investment decision making, with a focus on balancing project portfolio demands with resource supply based on strategy and prioritization. 

Responsible for managing the overall project portfolio roadmap by monitoring resource capacity / allocation / demand, working with program managers and technical Domain owners to identify resourcing constraints and develop trade-off options to be presented to senior executives during regular Technology Council meetings, and supporting portfolio reporting, metrics and dashboard to various stakeholders and executive leaders.

This position requires a strong grasp of project and portfolio financial analysis, the ability to plan, schedule, identify cost and staffing requirements, prioritizing projects in portfolio, providing guidance on business case development, working in a rapidly changing team environment, and meeting business expectations by providing analysis, documentation, communication, and/or presentations throughout the project or portfolio to confirm acceptance and satisfaction.


  • 5-10 years of experience acting as a portfolio analyst or portfolio manager
  • Strong organizational intelligence and ability to navigate all levels of the organizational      landscape
  • Knowledge working with project and portfolio management tools, such as Clarity
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship management skills
  • Strong organizational, time-management and analytical skills
  • Strong competencies in metric development and data analysis (KPIs)
  • Strong experience in report creation and reporting tools, portfolio scoring models and prioritization
  • Solid project financial acumen (forecasting, performance and variance analysis)
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor others on portfolio management practices and techniques
  • Self-starter with passion for learning and applying past best practices
  • History of driving results with ability to concurrently manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to gauge and comfortably communicate at all levels of leadership
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Advanced MS Office usage skills in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or equivalent experience and/or education
  • PMP certifications a plus
