Active Directory Engineer
Baltimore, MD
6 month contract
 
What you will be doing:

This person will join a team of professionals providing migration support for AD, File & Print Services, Windows Server operating systems, and network applications identified during discovery.
This position will be the onsite and is responsible for the successful migration of two AD forests to an existing AD forest.  
Additionally, this position will help with the plan and migration of file & print services, Windows Servers, and other applications.  
This position will have access to three (3) Microsoft Certified Masters in Active Directory with more than 15 years of experience with Active Directory. 
Provide subject matter expertise in support of a fast-paced Active Directory migration for a University Medical Systems organization.
Identify and interview stakeholders to develop and document organizational requirements.
Discover existing infrastructure and AD-aware ecosystem and establish a clear scope of the effort.
Analyze findings and present data and recommendations to project sponsors and decision makers.
Support Lead Technical Architect in the migration of AD, File & Print Services, and Windows Server operating systems during AD forest migration.
Assist in developing pilot migration plans and schedules for users, groups, computers, and services
Perform pilot and bulk migration of users, groups, computers, and servers and analyzing results to refine process and resolve any issues encountered.

Required:
Qualified candidate will have 2-4 years’ experience managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server and Windows Workstation operating systems in retail environments.  
4+ years of experience with Windows Server 2008 – 2012.
Sufficient technical depth to communicate with business and other internal IS Groups at a peer level.
Possess the ability to work independently with minimal management supervision and as part of nationwide team of engineers.
Be confident and actively participating in team support by proposing and implementing solutions.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Patient, calm, and supportive demeanor.
Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
