Software Engineer, Lab Platform

Our team of Software Engineers build on the most innovative learn-by-doing platform in the industry. We are seeking highly talented engineers with Computer Science degrees to join our expanding team. You will be a key contributor in helping us build our next generation platform. Experience new challenges daily as we move towards offering a new set of content labs, features, assessments and scaling challenges. Work on broadening on one of the only industry leading hands-on lab platforms into more categories and more functionality.

Your skills will be enhanced as you explore and develop on the latest and greatest technologies emerging, and you will be provided opportunities to write platforms that scale.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design and implementation of new hands-on lab engine tools and features
  • Identify and resolve usability and building barriers for our training architects using the labs
  • Maintain the hands-on lab engine for performance, scalability, and error free deployments
  • Work closely with the CEO, VP of Technology, and training architect team to architect and build new hands-on labs and in a way that is useable in our training architect integrated development environment
  • Lead or participate in other assigned projects 

Must Haves:

  • Experience with one to many cloud providers
  • Minimum of three years of experience development with containers, Linux, or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Full Stack Ruby on Rails and REACT.js or Angular 4+ 
  • Fluency in Python, Ruby, GO, RUST, C/C++, or PHP
  • Cloud, Linux, or Security Certifications
  • Experience in completing scalable projects in a short time period
  • Computer science or related degree from an accredited college or university
  • Residence in Texas, preferably within the DFW area
