SharePoint Developer


Fort Worth, TX

Our client is looking for a SharePoint Developer to serve as a thought leader for the SharePoint development activities and manage mini projects for SharePoint 2013 & 2016 on premises as well as Office 365 SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Power BI, Planner, Flow, and TEAMS. The position will contribute to defining, planning and implementing the client’s SharePoint and overall collaboration strategy as well as develop for the enterprise. The position will be responsible for working with internal business partners and various IT teams to analyze business requirements, design and develop technology solutions leveraging SharePoint to improve business process efficiency and effectiveness.  Candidate should possess extensive knowledge of SharePoint, including intranet and extranet environments.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Develop business solutions for SharePoint collaboration sites and the Customer, Supplier, Employee Portals leveraging C#, client scripting using JavaScript and jQuery, CSS/CSS 3.0, HTML 5 as well as web-based skills and out-of-the-box SharePoint 2013/2016 capabilities, such as Lists, XSLT
  • Estimate effort and time required to complete various coding activities and manage to the resulting schedule
  • 3rd party API integration
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Effectively communicate complex concepts and information to senior management.
  • Provide SharePoint end-user support (i.e. respond to user questions & issues).
  • Provide leadership and guidance on planning, architecting and implementing one or more SharePoint 2013 and 2016 environments as well as O365 application solutions.
  • Create and evolve best practices, standards and guidelines for the architecting, management, and utilization of SharePoint solutions.
  • Design, implement and support SharePoint solutions that meet BNSF’s functional, capacity, and security requirements.
  • Assist in evaluation of SharePoint-related solutions, including custom and 3rd party applications.
  • Perform feasibility analysis and estimations for SharePoint-related initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and related experience in the areas of infrastructure, middleware, and application development
  • 1+ years of experience coding and developing custom solutions in SharePoint 2013, 2016 utilizing App Model, CSS 3.0/HTML5, etc..
  • Ability to manage a complex, multi-farm SharePoint environment
  • Ability to scope, design and implement SharePoint solutions
  • 3+ years’ experience with SharePoint 2010, 2013, 2016 custom solutions and custom branding
  • 3+ years’ experience with ASP.Net/C#, JavaScript, Ajax, and jQuery
  • 3+ years’ experience with Object Oriented methodology
  • Solid technical aptitude, leadership and mentoring skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with PowerShell scripts
  • Experience in SharePoint 2013, 2016 On-prem/cloud-based solutions and architecture
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Farm administration tasks
