Senior Services Consultant (API) 

Location: Phoenix, AZ

• Collaborate with members of our teams as well as client-side resources
• Install API Management solution in high availability environments
• Conduct deployment and optimization tasks across the full API Management life cycle including design, creation, orchestration, protecting, security, deployment, promotion and monitoring
• Mentor (informal enablement) and train (formal classrooms) clients on solutions
• Assess existing customer implementations and provide recommendations / best practices
• Analyze and execute significant infrastructure updates and product upgrades

Technical Critical Requirements

• Experience in system and/or application administration (Windows, Unix)
• Experience with tools in the Software Development Life Cycle including: source control, build systems, issue tracking, and requirements management
• API Management Concepts
• PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and X509 certificates
• HTTP and related technologies experience
• Experience building and using web APIs (SOAP, XML, REST, JSON)
• Experience testing web-based APIs (APIs based on REST architecture)
• Experience in the web application security and federated identity industry
• SAML, WS-Fed, WS-Trust Oauth, OpenID, XACML, Kerberos
• Experience with Databases (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, Cassandra)
• Understand cloud related technologies

Technical Optional Requirements (nice to have)

• Experience with API Management Platforms/Vordel APIGateway, Apigee, CA/Layer 7 APIGateway
• Web application development experience
• Microsoft ADFS, CA SiteMinder, Oracle Access Manager
• Experience with one or more scripting language (Shell (Bash), Groovy, Javascript, Python)
• Experience with Mobile development
• Experience with network concepts (OSI Layer) and tools (Wireshark)
• SaaS Application Integration
• Cloud: AWS, Azure
• Strong understanding of container concepts (Docker)
• DevOps: Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins
