Senior IT Project Manager
Quincy, MA

Our client is seeking a well-rounded, PMP certified, IT Project Manager, to lead enterprise level BI and Analytics IT projects. 

Responsibilities:
The BI and Analytics  project manager, is responsible for the data and platform deliverables which span across multiple projects including but not limiting to cloud standup, a data lake, data schemas, integration, ETL, data as a service, self-service & operational reporting, and 3rd party extracts.
This role incorporates the development and maintenance of effective project planning tools and assets to support the delivery of our Data & Analytics solutions, as well as facilitating the day-to-day running of the project. This includes but is not limited to: team stand-ups; project planning; technical demonstrations; workshops; and team retrospective meetings. The role will be responsible for facilitating and collating project estimates and report on how they compared to the actual time taken.
The role will work closely with the internal BI and Analytics team, Integration/ETL team, QA team, business units and stakeholders. As well as working closely with our technical partners teams, architects, other project managers, business analysts and account managers to ensure that everyone works together and communicates effectively. This role will be key to ensuring that everyone in the project collaborates effectively and each party is aware of their responsibilities and goals.
 
Requirements:
5-7+ years of project management experience.
2-3+ years’ experience leading enterprise-level projects of 500K+.
PMP certification.
Excellent communicator.
Organized and detail oriented.
Be comfortable with technical terminology and solutions delivery associated with Data & Analytics deliverables.
Be the owner of the project and support developers to be a self-managing team.
Ensure that they have a constant overall awareness of the project and be able to effectively and quickly remove impediments as they arise.
Proven track record to deliver projects on time, on budget, to specification.
Experience in communicating effectively to all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated Leadership abilities beyond just project administration.
Must show experience and knowledge using MS Project.
Must demonstrate scheduling best practices of effort based, non-constrained, resource leveled plans.
Must show experience in cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting.
Must have experience building stakeholder registers, risk registers, communications plans, change requests, change logs, statuses, issues lists, action item lists, test plans, implementation plans, as well as other project documentation.
Must show ability to manage to a project plan, monitor performance, and take corrective action when necessary.
Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and gain support from stakeholders.
