Job Description

A major company in the restaurant space is looking for a Senior ETL Engineer for their growing team in Irvine. They are leveraging data analytics technology across massive data sets to help improve customer experience and create a unique dining experience. Strong experience in large scale ETL and data modeling are the core required skills to be successful in this position. Currently this team is in the process of modernizing their data infrastructure, so knowledge of traditional (on-prem, SQL) and new-age (cloud, big data) will be the most desirable skill profile.

This is a highly urgent opportunity with availability to interview almost immediately.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 or more years of experience in database / data engineering
  • Enterprise-level data integration / ETL software – Datastage, Talend, SSIS, etc.
  • Relational databases – SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL etc.
  • Data modeling techniques – star, snowflake, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or similar field

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Scripting with Python, JavaScript, Shell, Bash, or similar
  • Prior work building data platforms on AWS
  • DevOps experience
  • Reporting / BI tools like Microstrategy, Tableau, or similar
  • Technical master’s degree
