Senior Active Directory Specialist 

Job Description

The Innovation and Technology department is currently recruiting for a Senior Active Directory Specialist.  This crucial role will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Active Directory Infrastructure Design and daily monitoring, troubleshooting of the environment. Duties include management of ADFS / AzureFS, Azure AD Connect / FIM, Certificate Server, AGPM, DFS, Radius, DNS, PowerShell, Adaxes, and Entrust 2 Factor Authentication. Ongoing projects include Active Directory 2016 Upgrade, ADFS 2016 Upgrade, and many departmental projects involving ADFS authentication.


  • Become familiar with the Active Directory Infrastructure
  • Monitor health of AD Infrastructure
  • Documentation of AD Infrastructure
  • Developing a plan to improve / collapse AD Infrastructure
  • Provide knowledge, experience, and leadership in AD 2016 Upgrade which needs to be finished by 12/31
  • Meet InfoSec requirement to Upgrade to ADFS 2016 by 08/31

Required Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies to manage Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, python, or bash

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Experience designing and maintaining a multiple domain AD forest
  • Eligibility for Federal security clearance is required, existing clearance preferred.
