Job Description

The primary duties and responsibilities of this SCCM Administrator include:

Designing, Planning, and Implementing System Center Configuration Manager, such as:
Planning System Center Configuration Manager hierarchy and site system roles.
Creating and managing Boundary Groups across one or more Distribution Points.
Management of site communications. (Bandwidth, Distribution Points, etc.)
Role-Based Administration: Managing custom roles and security scopes
General monitoring of site health via SSRS, log files, and the SCCM console.
Knowledge of SQL as it pertains to the design of the SCCM database and reporting services (SSRS)
Planning, configuring and implementing a backup plan to mitigate the loss of SCCM services in the event of a disaster.

Deployment of Applications and Software Updates including:
Creating and deploying applications with user device affinity, compliance settings, Software Center and task sequencing.
Demonstrates the ability to create documentation, create reports, package/distribute software and remediate vulnerabilities using SCCM Patch management for both operating systems and third party applications as needed.
Monitoring updates via Automatic Deployment Rules, Update Groups, Deployment packages, and other methods.
Reporting on the success or failure of Application deployments.

Deploy Client Management Agents:
Manage clients using Group Policy, WSUS, Client Push, etc.
Troubleshoot client health

Manage and report on hardware and software inventory.

Expert level of experience with SCCM

Knowledge of the following technologies is preferred:
Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2016, 2019
Windows 8, 10
Microsoft Clustering
Configuration Management (Altiris, SCCM - Implementation/Daily Use)
Monitoring Software (What’sUp Gold, Dell OME)
Backup solutions (Commvault)
Antivirus (Sophos)
