Job Description

The Salesforce Administrator will work as part of the Corporate Applications group and a member of a team dedicated to ensuring that we are maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the system based on the various user group needs.

We are seeking a professional with excellent technical and communication skills who can interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to administer and enhance the system accordingly. This individual will serve as the 'go to' for users, promote adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training, and more. Additionally, the Administrator will perform basic updates, such as add/delete users, and adding basic custom fields.


  • Perform administrator functions such as user management, profiles, roles, permissions, rules, assignment rules, queues, licenses, capacity and storage management
  • Ensure data integrity by merging duplicate Leads, Contacts, and Accounts; performing mass uploads and updates of data as required; Removing unnecessary fields and data; ensuring screens, fields and workflow have accurate names and reflect current workflow
  • Create new reporting capabilities and respond to ad hoc reporting requests as needed
  • Maintain, enhance and create workflows, functions and configurations within the environment
  • Manage new releases of SFDC and efficiently roll out new features
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrade
  • Design, Create and maintain user roles, profiles and hierarchies
  • Maintain security including sharing rules and security levels
  • Communicate system changes to the users in advance so they understand the change and how to use it prior to implementation
  • Creating and maintaining documentation on processes, policies, application configuration and help related materials for users as database applications are developed
  • Work with end users to provide coaching around best practices and tips on Salesforce usage
  • Assists senior development staff with selection and/or creation of tools for design, modeling, programming, debugging, testing, diagnostics, monitoring, profiling, operations, logging, reporting, security checking, or analysis. 
  • Keeps up on industry trends and current technological standards, languages, coding techniques, utilities and operational considerations.
  • Works with senior development staff to incorporate process and programming improvements into software development practices. 
  • Leads the preparation and staging of internal software development presentations.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Relevant industry certification, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator. 
  • Minimum two years of experience as a administrator
  • Admin certified or Salesforce Certified Advanced
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
