Job Description


QA Engineering Manager

We are seeking an engineering manager with experience building a development quality assurance process and team from the ground up. You will be responsible for quickly building and implementing QA processes and teams including the hiring new QA engineers. You will help to set the QA standards and templates for all testing  documentation and deliverables and be responsible for the review of test strategies to ensure continued best practices. Your expertise with agile software development lifecycle will lead to the success of various teams, platforms and products. Quality and efficiency are the name of the game. You will be responsible for establishing QA metrics and reporting as well as developing and keeping up-to-date supporting
documentation for the product QA. Leaders and Project Managers will seek your assistance with the creation and execution of software test plans. Additional review of test plans, results, risk analysis and release documentation will also be an integral part of success in this role. You will become an expert in Linux Academy’s products and practices and contribute to our overall success and growth!

Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years experience in Software Quality Assurance, preferably in a SaaS
environment
- Minimum of 3 years leadership, lead, or management experience within the QA function
- Skilled in managing traceability between software requirements, test plans, cases, and results
- Expert knowledge of test types and strategies, including: unit, integration, system, end-user, performance, stress, endurance, non-functional, negative/fuzz, manual and
automated
- Proficiency with Software Configuration Management: configuration control; build and process management; branching and tagging strategies; and environmental control
- Proficiency to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Aptitude for understanding complex business and technical topics and specifications
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Several years experience working with Jira and in an agile environment
