POS Technical Support Engineer
Quincy, MA
6 Month+ contract

The role of the POS Technical Support Engineer is to provide support and develop solutions for POS applications, Self-Checkout and Scan It applications. Additionally the chosen candidate will be responsible for security patching for all Customer Facing applications. The job will require developing detailed requirements documentation, coordinate and execute testing cycles, define and oversee implementation activities for identified solutions, and providing ongoing technical support.

Must Have:
Windows advanced skills set
Windows Registry changes
Windows commands
Windows patching process and use of tools like WSUS
Domain knowledge and use of domain management
4690 OS
Point of Sale (POS), Self-checkout POS, Self-Scanning POS and Fuel Control and POS
PCI and PCI Compliance Activities and Knowledge
Security Software - Bit 9 and Trend Security Agents
Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point and Project
Google Mail and Collaboration Tools
Basic box imaging and techniques (CD/Thumb Drive based - Imaging tools: Acronis and Ghost)
Basic HW knowledge - swap HD, memory adds, power supplies etc.
