POS Systems Support & Maintenance Engineer


In this role you will be responsible for defining, planning, developing, and implementing solutions on assigned moderately complex tasks. Identify problem areas for the stores and deliver solutions to decrease impacting issues. Promote and follow the established processes, policies, standards and procedures to assure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies and standards. Review and react to monitoring to provide world class service to customers, stores, and business partners. Provide technical direction to associate developers, developers and contractors. As part of the support team, you will be responsible for assessing production issues, delivering solutions to remediate store impacting problems, investigating store and customer impacting issues, and providing support and return to service during store impacting outages. This position also engages in post change validate, release roll out support, as well as many other key project initiatives for the organization.

Preferred Qualifications -

  • 3-5 years’ experience in development and/or third level software support.
  • Experience managing unplanned IT interruptions which impact business revenue or customer actions.
  • Experience restoring service effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Background in Java, Object Oriented Design/Programming, XML, Unix, Windows OS, .NET, SQL/MySQL/Informix, JRun/Tomcat, 360 Commerce Foundation, J2EE, and HTML
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS, KShell, Pivotol Services (PCF), and Informix
  • Scripting skills.
  • SQL experience and database knowledge
  • Requires excellent research and diagnostic skills.
