POS Retalix Developer
Rosemont, IL
Contract

Summary:

The Application Developer will be part of vendor solutions team and will be responsible for maintaining and supporting POS systems(Retalix).

Responsibilities:

  • Configures software packages, codes applications, interface programs, updates code to address defects and enhancements.
  • Maintain, tune, and repair applications in proactive manner to keep them performing according to technical, business, and functional specifications.
  • Work directly with end users, staff to design solutions or resolve issues.
  • Diagnose and solve issues in POS system and wireless system to ensure store can sell product and service customers effectively and accurately.
  • Coordinate with the POS team to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot, repair or replace issues requested by the stores via help desk tickets.
  • Codes applications, databases, interface programs.
  • Creates Unit Test cases.
  • Provides application support as part of an on call rotation.
  • Escalate issues according to established communications guidelines and checklists.
  • Ensure department and business standards are always met applying USF best practices.
  • Create required HPSM RFC documents, execute, document, and review test cases to ensure applications and environment meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Perform pre and post-installation Application Readiness Reviews.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience with Windows applications.
  • Knowledge of Retalix POS application preferred
  • Experience with POS hardware and peripherals.
  • Previous POS technical support experience. Help troubleshoot current store’s POS system as needed remotely or on-site as needed minimizing cost /reliance on outside vendors and savings.
  • Oracle or SQL server database experience.
