POS Field Support Technician
3 month+ Contract To Hire
Long Island, NY
 
The Field Support Technician will respond to service calls and perform on-site repairs for all in-store technology hardware in all stores in their assigned territory.  Company vehicle and tools provided. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
 
Requirements:
-Point of Sale (POS) software/hardware installation/support required
-CompTIA A+ Certification desired
-Entry level candidates considered with technical education, good grades, professional attitude, and strong technical abilities.
-Must be able to keep organized records of truck inventory and equipment transfers
-Must have clear professional communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with users, dispatch, and management.
 
Responsibilities:
-Responds to Service Calls to repair, replace, upgrade, or modify in-store technology hardware as required by requests from Dispatch/Store Systems Support.
-Performs installations and de-installations of Store Systems equipment in new stores and remodeled stores as directed by the division lead.
- Keeping an organized record of all equipment transfers, serial numbers of installed/de-installed equipment, and required paperwork, including regular inventory audits.
-Maintains excellent communications between Dispatch/Store Systems Support, Manager of Technical Services, Store Management, and other Technical Specialists
-Overtime and On-call rotation required and compensated.
