POS Break/Fix Field Support Technician
Contract with Option To Hire
Albany, NY

The POS Field Support Technician will respond to service calls and perform on-site repairs for all in-store technology hardware in all stores in their assigned territory. Company vehicle and tools provided. Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
 
Must Have:

  • Point of Sale (POS) software/hardware.  They need to have experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting POS devices, including:
  • Scanners
  • Scales
  • Self check-out stations
  • Registers
  • POS computers & software
  • CompTIA A+ Certification desired
  • Must be able to keep organized records of truck inventory and equipment transfers
  • Must have clear professional communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with users, dispatch, and management

 
Responsibilities:

  • Responds to Service Calls to repair, replace, upgrade, or modify in-store technology hardware as required by requests from Dispatch/Store Systems Support
  • Performs installations and de-installations of Store Systems equipment in new stores and remodeled stores as directed by the division lead
  • Keeping an organized record of all equipment transfers, serial numbers of installed/de-installed equipment, and required paperwork, including regular inventory audits
  • Maintains excellent communications between Dispatch/Store Systems Support, Manager of Technical Services, Store Management, and other Technical Specialists
  • Overtime and On-call rotation required and compensated
