Network Performance Analyst
Greenville, SC
Long term contract

A successful candidate will be a member of the Application Performance Monitoring (APM) team specializing in Network performance.  The primary responsibility will be application and performance monitoring. This includes but is not limited to end-to-end monitoring of the applications.

What you will be doing:

  • Proof of concept test, configure and implement Network monitoring tools as required
  • Work with Internal teams and Network suppliers/providers to define monitoring requirements and best practices
  • Ability to analyze monitoring results to ensure that the performance of the network and applications and provide solutions/recommendations is a must
  • Assist with trouble shooting efforts to identify and resolve performance issues across applications, datacenter and networks
  • Develop expert-level knowledge of APM toolsets to proactively identify and report application performance problems and failures
  • Present network performance and capacity analysis with improvement recommendations as required
  • Participate in project teams to ensure operational monitoring requirements are met prior to launching new applications into production
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Must Have:

  • 5 years of experience in Network monitoring including WAN Capacity, WAN default, LAN capacity, LAN default, firewall and end-to-end performance monitoring
  • Hands on experience with Network monitoring tools including Solarwinds, Nagios, Riverbed and Cisco Prime. 
  • Knowledge of server monitoring including Nagios, Splunk and AppDynamics is preferred
  • Infrastructure technology experience in wide area networks (WAN), local area networks (LAN), Wireless Networking (WLAN) and SaaS solution integration, private and public cloud based hosting, security, and network perimeter functions.
  • Knowledge of complex routing, wireless LAN, load balancing, firewall, traffic optimization and cloud hosting network architectures and designs. 
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including vendor / customer / client communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, proactive, and work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working in an IS environment with multiple suppliers/vendors
  • Experience with Service Now is preferred
