Job Description


Overview:
Network and Telecom Support is seeking a LOCAL Tier1 Technician who will be responsible for taking front line support calls in a 24x7 NOC environment.  The Tier1 team is responsible for supporting the IP network and telecommunications infrastructure nationwide.

Responsibilities:
•    Take inbound support calls from internal campus and field customers
•    Create incidents and tasks via Remedy
•    Record detailed and accurate customer and problem information in the incident
•    Contact appropriate field and/or internal resources as needed
•    Resolve incidents under 10 minutes, otherwise escalation to the next level is required

Requirements: 
•    Must be able to work any assigned shift in a 24x7 environment including weekends and holidays
•    Must be flexible with changing shifts as needed
•    Minimum 2 years on a service desk support team and/or NOC environment
•    Remedy Incident Management
•    Telecommunications and/or IP Network experience
•    Must be proficient typing
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Experience:
•    Cisco
•    Telecommunications, RF, Microwave, Wi-Fi
•    Fast paced

10 hour shifts (Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri) 0800-1800.  Do not anticipate this particular position/role working weekends.
