Network Engineer/Architect
Remote
Contract to Hire or Direct Hire

The Network Engineer/ Architect is responsible for Architecture planning, integration, and operations of Network Infrastructure; Will partner and interact with Information technology, engineering, vendors, and third-party support provider and provide global oversight for the operations and architecture of systems.  May provide 1st, 2nd, 3rd level support to resolve problems related to network systems and provide Architectural guidance. The range of issues include moves, adds and changes (MAC), firewall configurations, access control lists (ACL), intrusion prevention systems, virtual private networks (VPN) and internet proxies, network related infrastructure changes, Infoblox DNS/DHCP , ACI, F5s, Bluecoats, performance, Data Center design, Riverbed, Vitalnet,   and other approved infrastructure.
This position is critical in solving business related technical problems and improving application performance using best practice design and architecture. Perform Security Assessments of new network designs, external connections, and applications to ensure policy compliance. Identify Risk in network design and potential applications. Develop standard High level design, low level design, configuration best practices for network equipment including Router, Switches, Data Center migration, ASA’s, F5’s, BLUECOAT’s, DMZ, VPNs, NIDS/HIDS, etc. Audit network infrastructure for vulnerabilities and recommend remediation Research and test new security technologies. Review Access Control requests for policy compliance, for Key resource for Data Center design and control. New hire will have the knowledge of new and emerging technologies like of Software Defined Networking and help reduce circuit related cost and improve Network architecture. 
The new hire will be using CCIE certifications, Certificate of Cloud Security knowledge and Microsoft Certifications are important as we are looking at Network Virtualization and Cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:
Data Center Architecture for three regional Data Centers
Large office/mini Data Center management
Experience in Virtualization, Cloud and Software Defined Networking Design and Architecture
Interface with internal customers to understand and third party to consultants to ensure architecture is defined and followed
Serve as an internal network consultant to the organization
Promote architectural design best practices and standards 
Monitor internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
Participate in problem escalation
Understanding of vendor management like ATT, IBM, Cisco and other 3rd party vendors
Understand network routing, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP protocols, switching related issues, IP address management, etc.
Familiarity with tools, Vitalnet, Infoblox, syslog, QRADAR, Websense, Netview, DNS/DHCP etc.
In depth operational and architectural understanding of Bluecoat, reverse proxy, F5, , and Cisco firewalls, and Cisco IOS
In depth understanding of Web Engineering, reverse proxy, DNS, DHCP, SLL certificate, IP, address registration, and management, etc.
Web engineering
Data Center Design including NX-OS, VXLAN, ACI and other related technology

Requirements:
BS in Technology-related field or equivalent work experience
5 years of progressive experience in computing, network and security, including experience with internetworking equipment
Must possess proven ability as a member of an engineering support team and be able to communicate technical and security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a highly dynamic work environment.
Current experience with Cisco network devices
Current experience with Bluecoat Firewalls, ACE, intrusion detection systems, ACS, ISE, VPN and other security related devices
Knowledge of network related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, IPSEC, routing protocols, 802.1x, etc.)
Excellence in creating High Level, Low Level and detailed designs.
Excellent experience with ad hoc troubleshooting tools
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Experience with Bluecoat ProxySG Internet proxies
Experience with Websense and integrated software.
Experience with Riverbed
Certifications: CCIE, CCDE,CCNP

Desired Skills:
Internetworking, Data Center, Firewalls, Security, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, CCIE,ISE, NX-OS, Cisco IOS, ACI, Websense, SSL Certificates, Project Management, scripting language and some basic programing skills, excel skills, power point and Visio skills, etc.
