Manager Strategic Sourcing


Fort Worth, TX

Duties & Responsibilities:

In conjunction with the Strategic Sourcing & Supply Mission, this position will participate in creating quantifiable and sustainable cost savings by driving towards a lower Total Cost of Ownership structure. Principally this position will play a leadership role in developing and executing supplier management strategies to reduce Total Cost of Ownership for the Technology Services (i.e., Information Technology) department; however, successful performance in this role may result in assignments within other purchasing areas. 

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sourcing of IT and Telecom services and software, computer hardware/systems
  • Reviewing, editing and negotiating contracts
  • Facilitate market research and perform internal data collection and analytics 
  • Developing and completing RFPs and spot buys
  • Establishing service level agreements
  • Purchase order and supply chain management
  • Managing relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and business partners

This position will provide recommendations to the Strategic Sourcing & Supply and Technology Services leadership teams including opportunities to capture the greatest savings by modeling economic scenarios for areas of spend; act as an advisor on the selection of suppliers; facilitate extensive market research and internal data collection; and analyze supplier technology and supply markets. This is an individual contributor role.


  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree.  Applicant must have 3-5 years of professional business experience in the fields of Information Technology or Telecom procurement or sourcing. 
  • Applicant must be a self-starter, have demonstrated contract drafting and negotiation skills, be familiar with workstations or advanced computer technologies in order to create analytical models, possess strong quantitative analysis skills, have excellent planning and presentation skills,  have strong human relations and communications skills to address controversial issues, and be able to work under time and performance pressures.
