An automotive technology company with offices in Tempe is looking to add a Lead Engineer for their web platform team. The core goal of the projects are driver assist technologies, road safety, and ultimately self-driving vehicles. In this role you will get to drive architecture and the technology road map as they are going to be migrating their platform to some of the latest web frameworks.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in a high-transaction systems with true knowledge of full-stack development. Excellent C# programming is a given and an ability to work with the latest web frameworks including modern component-based JavaScript.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in software development
  • Previous experience in a leadership capacity with a focus on application architecture
  • Expert-level C# programming
  • Working knowledge of ASP.Net in its newer iterations - .Net 5 or .Net Core
  • Working experience with responsive web design and tools for web development including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, and Bootstrap
  • Working knowledge of a modern JavaScript framework like Angular, React/Redux, Vue, etc.
  • Experience in a high transaction, complex data environment
  • Knowledge of various services including REST/WebAPI
  • Knowledge of message queues/brokers like MSMQ, RabbitMQ, etc.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and other communication protocols
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL Server, including database architecture
  • Working knowledge of best practices for QA, including QA automation with tools like Selenium WebDriver
  • Experience supporting production releases
  • Working experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or similar field

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Working experience with video codecs
  • Strong knowledge of secruity protocols and data encyrption
  • Experience with latest web technologies and architectures – i.e. microservices, event-driven architecture, ELK, and/or Big Data
  • Prior experience with a platform migration
  • Automotive and/or IoT industry experience
  • Master’s degree in computer science
