The Business Intelligence Developer III - Team Lead is an experienced BI Developer who also provides hands on development support and leadership to the BI Team. In addition to fulfilling the responsibilities of a BI Developer (outlined below), the Team Lead will promote and maintain an organizational culture that is focused on CRN’s core values and support other BI Team members in maintaining the BI Team vision as well as CRN's vision and values. Responsible for and providing direction to Data Analysis, Data Flow development and maintenance, analytical reporting from various datasources, Cognos Reporting, Tableau Dashboards and SharePoint Development.

Specifications: Data extraction, report writing, SQL, Cognos, relational databases; healthcare, social services or behavioral health services desired

Innovative and strong problem solving skills. Strong BI coding and working knowledge of SQL Server is required. Strong working knowledge of core systems such as SSIS, IBM Cognos and Tableau is preferred. Ability to handle multiple projects and identify, analyze and solve practical problems taking into account relevant factors and a wide variety of concrete variables; meet strict deadlines. Detail-oriented and organized. Strong communication skills. Self-directed, adaptable and able to lead a project. Effective in creating presentations. Demonstrates compassion and leadership - focuses on creating a positive work environment. Participates in team on-call rotation.

Job Functions:

  • Develops, creates and maintains reports and Dashboards with IBM Cognos , Tableau, and on occasion Microsoft Excel and SSRS. (25%)
  • Maintain dataflow and ETL processes through Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). (10%)
  • Acts as project lead to provide service delivery reports and dashboards. (10%)
  • Translate business needs to data requirements, reports and dashboards. (10%)
  • Ensures integrity of data, verifying information regarding quality and completeness. Analyzes reports, reporting systems for efficiency, logic errors and improvements. (15%)
  • Maintains and improves the dimensional model, ETL SSIS packages and Dashboards. (5%)
  • Maintains data mappings, standards and procedures. (5%)
  • Develops and implements SharePoint solutions to business needs as well as maintaining SharePoint consumption and release of data. (5%)
  • Makes recommendations on design, development and version controls. Maintains best practices for the BI Team. (5%)
  • Cross trains in BI applications for coverage and mentors new Business Intelligence Developers. (5%)
  • Contribute to solutions and roadmap improvements. (5%)
  • Participates in team on-call rotation.
  • Eligible to work remotely one (1) day per week.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervision Portion:

Will be a Lead Role. Needs to prioritize and/or assign work. Provide assistance and/or training.
