Jr. Product Owner

Location: Chandler, AZ

Job Description:

The Product Owner works across the product lifecycle, focused on the execution of design, build, testing, and launch of new or enhanced customer solutions. This role will work cross-functionally with product, development, and internal stakeholders to lead the successful delivery of the business’s strategic product vision. This position will also measure the product post-launch to ensure product efficacy, customer adoption and satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as direct representative of the business with delivery teams, representing/reinforcing the customers' and the users’ perspective throughout the product realization cycle.
  • Gather and document detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for product and process enhancements from internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with functional testing for assigned projects, including reviewing, and accepting or declining output of development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed.
  • Support go-to-market/launch and training plans, working with marketing, operations, and development teams.
  • Regularly apply knowledge of future technology and system trends for your domain to solve for current and future business needs
  • Work with the business process owners to develop metrics to manage and track benefits, adoption, and risks to operations.
  • Analyze and translate complex business requirements into a functional system design document
  • Facilitate and participant in design white-boarding sessions to ensure prioritized business needs are met within standards
  • Regularly apply advanced data analysis skills to understand detailed data flows between systems and within systems for their domain.
  • Assist with performing applications changes and configurations.
  • As a system owner, own end-to-end health, and maintenance of assigned systems, including tactical vendor management

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Required 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience writing user stories within JIRA
  • Experience working in various development environments.
  • Proven success gaining a deep understanding of customer and user experience to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal analytical and communication skills.

  • Proven history of gathering requirements and translating into actionable plans.
  • Ability to function effectively during ambiguous tasks.
  • Ability to own tasks outside of immediate scope of responsibility.
  • Analytical thinker and problem solver.
