IT Systems Analyst
Irving, TX

We are looking to add a key member to our IT team.  This role is ideal for a candidate with strong attributes as it relates to ownership and accountability.  The Systems Analyst is responsible for the effective programming of the NCR Silver POS system including events, specials, Limited Time Offerings (LTOs), happy hours, comps, promotions, etc. for all restaurant, as well as, back office reporting configuration and management.  This position will, at times, require the candidate to troubleshoot basic networking issues related to all aspects of restaurant systems, as well as work with onsite restaurant operations personnel to troubleshoot 3rd level escalations as necessary.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maintain core menu, pricing, promotion and other store related POS configurations
  • Perform tuning and maintenance of applications and interfaces
  • Work with vendors to report and track status of defects and enhancement requests
  • Follow all change management and release management guidelines
  • Assists with testing and implementations of new applications, upgrades and patches to existing applications
  • Proactively re-evaluates software processes and procedures to eliminate obstacles for end users
  • Deliver timely resolution to change control, system updates, and broken processes or items
  • Documenting support processes
  • Anticipate user requirements and make adjustments to applications as needed
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation requiring evening, weekend, and holiday work, as needed

Must Haves:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to handle challenging issues in a professional manner
  • Understanding of store network and configuration architectures
  • Computer proficiency across Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point.
  • Working knowledge of service desk frameworks
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries
  • Work well within a team environment and able to work cross-functionally with other business units to gather requirements and propose solutions.
  • Analytical thinking will be very important as this position will involve problem resolution and process development.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of Point of Sale (POS) experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a restaurant and / or retail environment with multiple Quick Service locations
  • 3-5 years POS application and hardware experience, NCR Aloha or Silver preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Restaurant or Retail back office applications preferred
  • 2+ years of experience related to data polling and data mapping
