What you will be doing:

  • Selects the best methodology to follow for achieving a project’s goals
  • Leads projects, develops and manages project plans.
  • Operational Management
  • Leads work effort to identify scope and project parameters
  • Prepares and gets the approval of project charter and scope statement
  • Leads work break down sessions, prepares and maintains WBS and WBS dictionary
  • Build and maintains the schedule
  • Monitors performance of the project to success criteria and makes adjustments when required
  • Build and perform status reporting to all stakeholders
  • Provides for deliverable verification
  • Plans and facilitates meetings, and maintains minutes
  • Maintains all project documentation in a repository
  • Performs Costing and Budgeting
  • Leads Testing/QA/Rollout/Support
  • Manages issues and actions lists
  • Focuses team on business objectives and tracks progress to ensure project milestones are completed on time, on budget and with the desired results
  • Prepares risk assessments and develops strategy and actions to minimize risks
  • Challenges others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model, coach, and mentor
  • Manages the development of team by ensuring, when possible, that project tasks are in line with each Innovator's career interests
  • Inspires coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
  • Manages the process of innovative change effectively
  • Remains at the forefront of emerging industry practices
  • Take steps to ensure user acceptance and adoption of new solutions

Must Have:

  • BS Degree and five years recent experience
  • CSM certification
  • PMP and CSPO certifications are pluses
  • Ten years of verifiable experience leading all phases of diverse business and technology projects that spanned the enterprise. Must have a proven record of success. History of project recovery is a plus
  • Custom Software Development
  • Database Design (RDBMS)
  • Systems Engineering
  • System Migrations/Integrations
  • Enterprise wide Implementations such as a warehouse management system or other Best of Breed COTS product
  • Expert level experience with the use of traditional and agile project management methodologies
  • Prefer prior experience working with all areas of the supply chain
  • Effectively prepares and delivers PowerPoint presentations
  • Able to work with a team to break down requirements into manageable work packages
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into the application and operational requirements
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the true underlying needs
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
  • Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external users) and the product development
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams, and support teams
  • Vendor management experience
  • Well versed in the Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, and Visio or SmartDraw
  • Previous experience with the IBM Power System is a plus
  • An effective leader and coach
