The Information Security Architect role architects and designs technical security solutions and roadmaps of high complexity, technologies, and size. Leverages industry and organizational standards, patterns and best practices to develop architectures that fulfill business strategies. The role also leads the identification, analysis, and management of security related risks across the organization. This role will conduct risk assessments and security architecture reviews on new and existing products and processes, leads any analysis and prioritization efforts to improved incident management and cyber security, ensures consistent and robust security risk management practices are being followed based on the defined framework and methodology utilized at the company.  Addiitonally this role develops security related risk strategies, programs, policies and processes, assess Cyber Operations (incident management, threat intelligence, forensic analysis, etc.) conducts Compliance Assessments (PCI, GLBA, HIPAA, etc.)  and mentors junior level engineers.


  • Able to conceptualize, develop, implement, and/or maintain a holistic view of various security control frameworks, such as NIST, FEDRAMP, COBIT, particularly in cloud application implementations
  • Responsible for developing secure integrations between enterprise identity management and target systems
  • Applies working knowledge and experience securing within all phases of the SDLC
  • Generates work estimates for use in project planning activities
  • Assumes the role of subject matter expert regarding IS program, portfolio, and projects specifics
  • Provide application usage guidance for L1 support staff
  • Submit, update, and track support requests with software vendors
  • Follow project management and SDLC disciplines to insure structured and effective implementations
  • The preferred candidate would be current in the latest development technologies including Java & J2EE, Active Directory, Web application server implementation/deployments, LDAP, CASB, and Identity Management with a history of hands-on development skills in some of these areas.


  • Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or related field
  • 5 or more years of Information Security engineering role
  • IT security architecture experience is a plus
  • At least three years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention systems and network architecture
  • Knowledge of asset, configuration (hardening), and data security management best practices
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security Methodologies and deployment approaches, and ability to engage in security discussions pertaining to Private/Public Cloud Providers, and IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
  • Knowledge of threat vector analysis, modeling, and attack trees in designing cyber security controls
  • Working knowledge of NIST CSF
  • CISSP-ISSAP: Certified Information Security Architect Professional is a plus
