Contract to Hire
Dallas, TX

We are searching for an entry level Contract Tech Support to supplement our Help Desk team.  Training and development will be provided to learn the skills necessary to support our end users. It is primarily M - F, 40 hours per week. There are times when availability will be needed on a weekend, for a sales office setup, or grand opening. Often times, time off will be given on a weekday to allow for weekend hours.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Objective of this positon to provide hands on technical support to the division office and surrounding sales and construction sites
  • Remote and onsite technical support for the division and surrounding sales & construction sites
  • Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)
  1. RDP - troubleshoot / support
  • Tablets / Mobile Devices
  1. Windows Phone, iPhone, Android- Smartphone support
  2. Surface
  3. iPhone/iPad (limited support)
  • Installs
  1. Configure network printers.  Work with Help Desk to ensure printer is installed on print server
  2. Network Copier / Scanner support / SMTP setup
  3. Sales and construction site setups / closures
  4. Ordering internet for area sales/construction sites
  • Support
  1. MS Office & various software issues
  2. Troubleshoot basic hardware issues
  3. VPN hardware (Cisco) ASA installation / troubleshooting
  4. Wireless access point (Cisco) installation / troubleshooting
  5. Digital Sales Office support
  6. VOIP phone setup, support
  • Misc.
  1. Assist with conversions, upgrades and special projects as needed
  2. Maintain inventory of all spare equipment for the divisional office and remote sites
  3. Maintain IT office work-space, keep properly organized

Must Haves:

  • Formal Education and Training
  • A+, MCP, CCNA Certifications and / or 2+ years hands on experience in network, hardware, software administration and telecommunications with remote support experience                 
  • Windows 10, 8
  • Office 365
  • Office Suite 2013
  • Lync / Skype for Business
  • Cisco Firewalls & access points – basic knowledge
  • Wireless communications and VPN technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Surface Pro Tablets / HP / Dell / Asus Desktops and various other models of PCs / Tablets
  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2003 / 2008 / 2012
  • LAN/WAN configurations and operations
  • Knowledge of Cisco network equipment to include Routers, Firewall and Switches
  • Clear understanding of protocols and the ability to configure and troubleshoot them
  • (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, EIGRP, SNMP, SMTP, FTP, VPN, BGP, Network Monitor etc.)
  • Data Recovery for Exchange

Essential Functions

  • Position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. as needed
  • Position may require the ability to install equipment in an office setting where lying, crawling, stretching is necessary
  • Position requires the ability to climb and work on ladders up to 6 feet
  • Position will require driving long distances to divisional, sales and remote locations.  Reliable transportation is required
