Enterprise Infrastructure Manager

What You Will Be Doing:
Our client has an immediate need for an Enterprise Infrastructure Manager for their office in the Midtown area of metro Atlanta. This is a direct hire role with a company in the finance industry that has an excellent benefits package. In this role, you will be responsible working on the TechOps team supporting a wide range of IT activities to facilitate the efficient operation of our SaaS applications. The Enterprise Infrastructure Manager leads and contributes to a team of Infrastructure Engineers. You will be managing teams in Atlanta and overseas with occasional international travel.

  • Work with Product, QA and Development to gather requirements then translate that into an IT solution stack
  • Create and document systems/network diagrams
  • Build and maintain IT solutions
  • Provision network, storage, VMs, deploy & configure OS, 3rd party software and applications
  • Work with Managed Service Providers/partners to implement networking/firewall configurations
  • Setup IT stacks in DataCenter/VMWare & Cloud/AWS Configurations
  • Work with Cloud Services such as AWS/EC2, AWS/S3, AWS/Route53, AWS/ELB
  • Work with frontend & backend custom applications based on tools such as Tomcat, Java, Rails, etc.
  • Work with container and service architecture like Docker
  • Implement and support HA solutions, build fault tolerance into IT components
  • Setup, Monitor & respond to/resolve system-generated alert messages
  • Understand system/application data flows, troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly
  • Document standards, implementation procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Administer and maintain systems leveraging technologies like:
  • Administer Linux based services like NFS, Bind/DNS, SSH/SFTP, etc.
  • Support Application releases through code deployments in various environments using configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Support of and recognition for the need to segregate multiple environments (QA, Staging, UAT, Production, DR etc.)
  • Participate and execute DevOps practices i.e. Infrastructure as Code, Source controlled configuration management, Container Orchestration on clustered computing.

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or MIS
  • 8+ years in working in infrastructure
  • 3+ years of managing an Infrastructure team of 2+ members
  • Experience with VMWare, Ubuntu, PostgreSQL, Docker, HAProxy, Traefik, Graylog (ELK), Zabbix and Prometheus
  • Experience with Ansible, writing code, best practices, and appropriate source control.
  • Experience with Docker – container orchestration and best practices
  • Familiarity with Mesos / Marathon Clustering is a plus.
  • Expert/High-level VMWare Hypervisor knowledge
  • Experience with on-premises Microsoft SQL Server utilizing Always-On Availability groups
  • Familiar with implementation and cost modeling for Cloud/AWS – EC2 
  • Storage architecture and configuration experience in storage SAN – EMC VNX / Nimble preferred.
  • Enterprise experience in Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, DNS, and SQL architecture.
  • Enterprise & Expert level administration of Linux (Ubuntu) and related application
  • Experience with DevOps tools and clustering technology like Docker / Mesos / Kubernetes
  • Understanding SSH/FTP Protocols and File Processing for coordination with the System Operations team
  • High Level Networking Knowledge and understanding of inter-subnet Firewalls and DMZ.
  • Working knowledge of VLANs and Cisco switch setup, management and network configurations
  • Ability to travel 10% - 15% domestic and internationally
