We are looking for a passionate designer to help elevate our social media creative. Collaborating, concepting and creating thumb stopping creative will be your bread and butter.             

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with creative partners to develop clear and compelling concepts, based on a deep understanding of social media platforms, to elevate and push our brand forward
  • Work with the social media team to establish and maintain an authentic social approach that enhances community engagement
  • Participate actively in brainstorming sessions to drive development of powerful conceptual solutions; develop and present creative ideas based on input from the creative and social team
  • Manage multiple projects and adhere to established schedules, ensuring quality standards are met; adhere to production requirements while working with outside vendors; organize and maintain library of key art, logos and content updates
  • Pitch original content ideas that respond to trending behavior within social that drives brand awareness and relevance
  • Consistently apply and enforce brand and style guidelines; ensure compliance with all internal policies and federal/ state/local regulations regarding marketing materials

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Web/Graphic Design or a related field
  • Five (5) years of professional experience as a designer in-house, or with a marketing or advertising agency
  • A thorough understanding of web-based technologies including HTML and a proficiency in software programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on a Mac-based platform

Primary Accountabilities:

Designs and develops user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements to enhance the look and feel of a web site and increase the target audience's ability to locate pertinent information. Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external and/or internal communications. May confer with others to ensure that content and design meet acceptable organizational standards as established internally. Maintains and provides ongoing design of the website, promos and ad banners, seasonal content specials and custom chat launcher design for internal or external customers. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements:

  • A general knowledge and understanding of fine arts or graphic design required.
  • One to two years of experience in the field of in a related area preferred.
  • A general understanding of web-based technologies, as well as HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other design-related applications.
  • Familiarity with standard web concepts, practices and procedures preferred.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers and department staff, as described above.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate well with others and to perform work in a team environment.

 Additional Qualifications:

 • Exceptional design aesthetics with type, color and page layout design

 • Exceptional conceptual and strategic thinking skills

 • Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships

 • Understanding of technical constraints of digital platforms

 • Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite
