Cybersecurity Engineer

As part of the IT Infrastructure Shared Services group, the IT Infrastructure Security Engineer will play a key role in keeping Datacenter, End Points and network devices hardened against attacks,  securing highly sensitive data and address any network / systems related security issues. This role would also oversee and assess IT software license compliance position. This will be in alignment with IT Infrastructure Shared Services guidelines and group standards.

He/She must have a background in supporting IT Infrastructure Security. A strong information technology background is also required for this role.


  • Ensure and assist with the proper deployment and management of solutions that support IT Infrastructure security including virus detection, malware detection, intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewalls, and other security solutions.
  • Review system hardware/software design and architecture documentation and provide recommendation addressing security technical issues.
  • Be responsible for operating, tuning, and reviewing maintenance of all infrastructure security tools, software suites, devices, appliances and systems.
  • Review & monitor various security tools and recognize problems by identifying abnormalities. Provide detailed Risk Assessment reports on daily/weekly or ad hoc basis.
  • Identify, evaluate and implement technical security controls to continuously improve the organization’s security posture.
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to provide requested information and perform remediation if necessary.
  • Work with executive team to prioritize security initiatives and spending based on appropriate risk management and/or financial methodology.
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
  • Involve in determining software license compliance based on license right-to-use, license agreements, maintenance agreements and software installations.
  • Provide software license compliance status reports to management and agency (as needed).
  • Review software compliance measures based on existing licensing agreements.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in managing IT Infrastructure Security solutions
  • Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar security industry certification
  • Strong understanding of NIST, ISO, Cybersecurity Framework and other security industry guidelines
  • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc
  • Security Tools experience: CyberArk, CloudLock, ProofPoint, McAfee, Trend Micro, scanning/pen testing tools
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and remediate security risks
  • Experience in document management (includes standard operating procedures) and version control management is required
  • Experience with license management, optimization and software discovery tools
  • Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships and contribute in a team environment
  • Exceptional customer service skills
