The Sr. Azure Engineer position is a senior level Microsoft Azure consultant who functions as a Technical Lead for the Cloud Practice, is a responsible and trusted member, and supports the Practice Manager in the development of Azure IaaS service offerings. The qualified candidate will be responsible for delivering Azure IaaS solutions which include migration of on-premises technologies to Azure and the design and implementation of new Azure IaaS services. Additionally, the Sr Azure Engineer will support the Platforms Practice in the delivery of AD and Identity solutions including design, implementation, upgrade, and migrations. Training, mentorship, and other growth opportunities are a regular part of this role. Excellent presentation and communication skills are a must.

What you will be doing:

  • Deliver services for Microsoft Azure projects focused on Azure IaaS including:
  • Determine customer business, functional, and technical requirements and develop scoping and levels-of-effort
  • Design Azure IaaS solutions based on customer requirements and Microsoft best practices
  • Migrating on-premises services to Microsoft Azure
  • Automating Azure tasks using PowerShell and JSON templates
  • Function as Technical Lead for the Azure Practice by mentoring other Service Delivery Consultants, aiding in the development & maintenance of the Cloud Practice service catalog and service delivery offerings, and helping to manage the service delivery quality of the Cloud Practice
  • Deliver services for the Platforms Practice which includes the Design, Deployment, Implementation, Migration, Upgrade, and/or Decommission of Windows Services including:
  • Active Directory
  • Active Directory Federation Services
  • Certificate Services
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • Direct Access
  • Server and client operating systems (2003, 2008, 2012, 2016)
  • Group Policies
  • Server, client and networking security
  • Clustering
  • Provide subject matter knowledge and expertise on Microsoft Azure and Azure AD services

Must Have:

  • Microsoft Server and Client systems
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure AD
  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services
  • 3 or more years of experience with designing, migrating, implementing, and managing Azure IaaS including Azure Load Balancers, Application Gateways, Azure DNS, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, Monitor, Security Center, and Log Analytics
  • 3 or more years of experience with Azure AD, Azure AD Domain Services, Azure AD Connect, Azure AD B2C, MFA
  • Accomplished, supported, and lead multiple Active Directory migrations and upgrades
  • Expertise with server operating system from Windows 2003 to Windows 2012R2
  • Expertise with client operating system from Windows XP to Windows 10
  • Enterprise (more than 15,000 users) experience with design, implementation, and operation of Microsoft platforms technologies
  • Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills at the System Engineer/Architect level
