Application Support Engineer
Dallas, TX

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • As an Application Support Engineer provides first line support to internal and external end-users of our comprehensive set of business applications
  • You will engage closely with your customers, higher level functional or technical support to ensure that all incidents, service and change requests are completed satisfactorily and according to applicable support governance
  • Key responsibilities of an Application support engineer are
  • Interacts with clients, both internal and external, to supply basic information while learning about the application and customer and related business processes
  • Provides end-user support for specific software applications
  • Records and analyzes functional incidents, service requests and problems
  • Monitors progress made on timely user request resolution
  • Supports business professionals in their use of the business applications
  • Logs and tracks basic problems / work tickets
  • Performs system acceptances testing, user training and documentation

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) in a related field such as information systems, computer science or equivalent years (5+) work in Application Support Engineering
  • Candidate must have ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions
  • Conducts advanced financial analysis
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations
  • Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills
  • Knowledge of / experience with BI tools e.g. Cognos TM1 or Microsoft powerBI is must
  • Knowledge of / experience with collaboration tools like SharePoint, Salesforce and Document Management System is a plus
  • Knowledge of / experience with Agile methodology and ITIL
  • Between 3 - 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in a similar position at a Real Estate organization
  • Affinity with, and an understanding of real estate in regards to asset and portfolio management is a plus
  • The global environment requires excellent verbal and writing skills in English
