A company we are working with is looking for an exceptional BI Developer to join one of the leaders in the finance industry here in Charlotte. This is a full time opportunity! The Business Intelligence Developer will have a vital role in enabling the dissemination of intelligence derived from data throughout the organization. The primary responsibilities for this role includes assisting with the on-going support, new development and expansion of our data warehouse/marts and Business Intelligence platforms. This position requires great attention to detail, strong technical skills, an ability to solve problems independently, and an aptitude for knowing how to make disparate data be meaningful to the stakeholders of an organization. 



Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years SQL programming and stored procedures (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, related)
  • 5+ years BI Administration or Report Development (Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview, related)
  • 5+ years using data integration tools (SSIS, Informatica, related)
  • Experience with Data Governance and Data Warehouse design
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic, demonstrate good common sense, ethical and sound judgment


Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Develop routines and processes that ingest data into our persistent systems
  • Create a technology environment to support OLAP (ROLAP, MOLAP, MDX, DMX) and data mining and business intelligence queries
  • Create a technology environment to support effective ETL (i.e. SSIS, Informatica, .Net, Java) and reporting (i.e. SSRS)
  • Assist in the set up and administration of new Business Intelligence tools (i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, Excel PowerPivot)
  • Report/visualization development for Sales, Finance, Ops, and Executives
  • Schedule and monitor data load jobs and reporting jobs
  • Troubleshoot data loading issues and reporting job processing errors
  • Develop ad hoc queries and reports to support business stakeholder needs
  • Programming language C#, java, Python or equivalent

  • Financial Services industry experience and data knowledge (a plus)?
